It’s made me faster, too, and I have more endurance for long distance events (marathons, multi-day bike-packing trips).
The Groover Method also got me back into racing. Last summer I achieved my biggest personal goal ever: mountain biking the French Divide - a 2200 km and 36000 m elevation 14-day bike-packing event.
The Core Rule lessons and drills work wonders! So simple, so effective, so easy to implement and hone.
In a nutshell: The Groover Method has made me believe that I could get better, that it was possible and within my reach. And that the path to my getting better was clear and full of fun.
But, also that there would be no end to my getting better, because of the tools the Method handed to me, and because of this all-encompassing nature of the Method. What a huge difference it has made!
Well, I think I’ve shared enough about the Groover Method.
As for Chris, he’s a ground breaker, always searching for improvements, never at rest, always trying to get better at teaching mtb riding, at giving tools to those who want to avail themselves of these powerful tools.
His immense capacity for listening to/taking care of what mtb bikers have to say about the challenges they face, and to come up with practical solutions, is what I like about Chris best.
Looking back, I realize that with the Groover Method and the Ultimate Edge I’ve learnt far more than with all the other skill/training sessions I’ve ever attended combined. And I can still learn so much more, get such joy and fun in the process, and am still improving my mtb riding.
I’m reaping huge benefits from it all still and all that has cost me far less than ONE training session.
