Anyone over the age of 18 (novice with MTB riding experience, intermediate, experienced, pro, or elite rider) who does not want to settle for less capability than they deserve, and are looking for the riding technology to be everything they can be, without all the risk and fuss. Like all Chris Carter skill clinics and events, this program is not your typical ride-on-the-trails mountain bike coaching. Nor is it a boring sit down seminar. A Skillinar is an exciting, energy-rich event that immerses you in over 25 hours of revolutionary mountain bike riding technology to help you experience a rapid and massive skill transformation in just one weekend. The Skillinar includes on the trail skill coaching sessions, as well as indoor and active outdoor sessions.
An MST event is 2.5 days of full immersion. Friday starts at 4pm, and some nights will end at 9pm. If you're arranging flights, we recommend you schedule your flight for the day after the event ends.

MST has been designed with an emphasis on quality kilometres over quantity of kilometres, and the event's unique format satisfies and rewards novice, right through to elite mountain bikers of all disciplines and endurance abilities. Saturday's total riding distance is approx. 6 kilometres on 100 to 200 metre sections of trail, spread over 4 sessions. Sunday will also include repetitions of short sections of trail, plus the Groover Ride Experience, taking the day's total distance to approx 10-12 kilometres.

You will need to arrange your own accommodation and supply your own food, snacks, and drinks. There will be tea and coffee facilities available. There is a large selection of eateries close by, and we have allowed ample meal breaks, plus you can snack during the day! See the Event Info tab for more details.
Seats are available on a first come, first served basis. Seats are not pre-assigned. However, in order to get the best seats available, we recommend arriving early. Doors will open at 3:15pm on the Friday. Each day you will have a new seat.
Wear riding clothes that you feel comfortable wearing on the bike and when sitting on a chair in a room for short periods. You will need your bike for Saturday and Sunday. See the Event Info tab for more information about what to wear, plus other riding equipment.
Bring a bag or backpack to keep with you at your seat that contains your food for breaks, or money to get food during the breaks, water, snacks, extra pens, notebook, spare change of clothes, and anything else you think you might need. (There is tap water availabel at both venues. See the Event Info tab for more details about what else to bring.
No. The MST event is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws, and any unauthorised recording (via either audio or video) is strictly prohibited. The materials you are provided at the event are also protected by copyright and other laws, and are for your personal use at and after the event. The content may not be copied, posted online or otherwise distributed. If you are taking photos with your cell phones or smart devices, please be mindful not to use flash which can be distracting.
