Hi, I’m Bryan Safarik, and I’ve been riding for around 23 years.
I raced cross country in the late 90's and downhill from the early 2000's through 2012. Since 2007 I have been "in" on the fun of fat bikes, before 99%+ of the biking world knew what they were, or what to do with them.
Before I learned the Groover Method, I would probably describe my way of mountain biking as ‘Haphazard’ ;-)
One of the biggest challenges I faced trying to improve my mountain biking skills was the lack of coherent skills training materials and programs. There was nothing much available and, despite my best efforts, my mountain biking skills were not really getting any better.
After lots of broken bones and stitches, culminating with reconstructive surgery on my face in 2012 due to a crash (this despite wearing a full-face helmet, Leatt, and body armor), I started looking for a better way to mountain bike. After searching on and off for perhaps five or so years, that solution came in the Groover Method.
